Hi, Sinaton. Thanks for the reply. My point was more about the innocent civilians on both sides. No one can say, with any credibility, that every single innocent Palestinian victim of Israeli fire was merely collateral damage or caught in the crossfire. That's just simply not true. (But that being said, I certainly don't condone the killing of innocent Israeli civilians, either.) Anyway, thanks for your post.

This attack and rejection of the partition (at the same time that a predominantly Hindu India and a Muslim Pakistan were being created for similar reasons) created a refugee problem that the whole world has become quite familiar with…that of Arab refugees.

Having rejected the 1947 partition plan for the remaining 20% of the Mandate left after Arabs already received the bulk of "Palestinens" in 1922 with the creation of Transjordan, a half dozen Arab states--armed to the teeth with weapons left over by the Allies in World War II and even led, in Transjordan, by British officers--then attacked a reborn Israel in 1948.

recognized all the land between the Jordan River and the sea, including Jerusalem, as part of the Jewish National Home, based on the Jewish people's historic rights. In Jewish tradition the land was long called the Land of Israel, while Christians, through the nineteenth century, were likely to call it Holy Land (according to their various languages, that is, Terre Sainte, etc.), with Palestine, Judea, Land of the Bible, etc., as alternate names.

yes, well...do you want to tr giving us a more idiotic shalow and ignorant explanation?...the argment is that you dont have a clue what your talking about...International law has recognized Jewish rights to sovereignty over the Land of Israel and to settlement throughout the land. In April 1920, at the San Remo Conference (part of the post-World War I peace negotiations), the Principal Allied Powers, acting on behalf of the international community,

the jews arguement is that God has given them the land. In biblical term, jews came over and murdered every soul that lived there and took their lands so their basic arguement is that God is an estate agent and is able to give jews pirioty to the land and kill every one else there and the they believe the fuckin Torah gives jews living in new york the piority to move half way across the world to israel and murder the people who r already living there. what kind of god are the jews worshiping.

one more point about why btselem are biased aswell, . Israel's Communist Party in Israel's parliament belonging to Hadash, a coalition of Arab PLO advocates in Israel's parliament who support PLO aims to dismantle Israel (something Israeli Arabs can do in Israel's democracy)...this party consists of Btselems leader as well...BIASED AS HELL!

But they do manage to portray an image to the world of Israel as a human rights abuser when it is merely trying to protect itself. And all of this plays towards continuing the conflict rather than creating a reconciliation; it is another way to work toward dismantling the Jewish State by seeking to arouse world condemnation, and the Ford Foundation helps to fund it as well. |
