Ancient intolerant Christianity and Norse religions that are so convulted and dead that no one actually bothers to follow them. I fail to see just how you confuse these long dead religions with the modern, more tolerant ones.Unless, of course, you are referring to the claims that we are waging a 'war on terror' and you are a racist stereotyper that has all Muslims down as suicide bombers out to kill you?

Religion has been used as an EXCUSE for wars, but this is different to being the CAUSE of them.As a case in point, take the crusades. They were about land, seizing control of the arab lands. Conquest, in other words. However, religion was used as an excuse to do this. Similarly, the vikings used war to 'appease' their gods and goddesses.But this is ancient history. It's hardly modern religion is it?
