Of course they didn't "take it off her" She didn't come up with the title Boulevard of Broken Dreams. That song title was conceived in the the 1930's. My point is that it IS NOT AN ORIGINAL SONG TITLE. It is obviously an original song.

GREEN DAY didnt take this off of her. They took it off of a street name in New York that was called Broken Dreams Blvd. It was re-named, but they took it off that, not this.-GREEN DAY is GOD-
