The story is that he grew up without playing with the G string on his acoustic, so he got accustomed to that. Therefore he's taken it off his guitar now.

lol look very closely its not custom or anything because there's a hole where the 12 tuning peg should go. It kept snapping so he removed the bridge pin and the tuning peg.

he didn't brake the g string because if you look it is a custom neck and only has 11 tunning pegs with 6 on one side and 5 on the other
