I don't exactly agree with the assessment that Expo 86 screwed us up.If you check out the Aerial photos before Expo 86, you can google it and goto globalairphotos, Vancouver looked like a dump back then.I believe lumber used to be one of our major economies back then...that industry has drastically declined since.Expo 86 put us on the map, and with it brought tons of development, jobs, income, and resources. Yeah it's brought some problems as well, but it's probably worth it.

Home sweet home.. I love Vancouver wholeheartedly.. definitely the most beautiful city on Earth! That is unquestionable.. I always enjoy watching the clouds rise out of the trees in Stanley Park after it rains.. trippy and gorgeous!

no its truely not, it wont help the econamy, because all the people here are paying for it, with taxes, ADDED taxes, we are already being over taxed, and the goverments doing diddley shit with the money, they had plenty enugh without adding more taxes, and with more people thats going to drive the housing market higher then it already is, driving more people poorere then you have to pay taxes because you payed more for that house, but the oylimpcs wont really help with our transit

Surely with the winter olympics comming to vancouver it's a positive thing and it would do an awful lot for the local economy. We had noticed there was traffic issues in the city, but i must applaud your public transport ( i wish the british public transport system was just as efficent)

its something that happened in 1986 its why we have the skytrain and the sea bus science world ECT. but it was kind of like the "see into tomorrow" kind of thing, it was neat, but its brought WAAAAAAAAAY to meany people here to vancouver, and the oylimpcs are just going to bring more
