Floyd are just the greatest band that time has ever given us or will give us. in regards to their early stuff, it wasnt crap, it was just different and it was new to us. i went to see David gilmour play his new album at the royal albert hall and it was another change to the style that we know is gilmour but ill tell you it was fkn awesome. i did'nt take to his new stuff right away but it grew on me so quickly. fkn awesome dave!!! keep it up son!!!

does anyone think this looks like a big acid trip to you? i mean listen to the lyrics. It starts out of a mind that is used to the normal accepted activity and normal way.... but then tie time of the division bell hits. the chorus comes... "the grass was greener, the light was brignter..." maybe im wrong...anyone agree?

This song always created an image in my mind. It is of a child, coming-of-age, that has magical ideas of what the future will bring as an adult, but is left empty when he realizes that that childhood bliss is suddenly gone and unattainable and life is nothing like he thought it would be. Or maybe it's about the band member's ideas of what it would be like to become a superband only to realize it is nothing like they thought. |
