And are you suggesting that nationalism should prevail?Riddle me this: how are we going to progress further if we don't share our ideas & cultural history/experience? Would you like 3rd WW in Europe today?One thing the EU is doing is being secular, which is the most important thing since the freethinkers were born back in the mid-XVII century.EU could be a 3rd Roman Empire, or Republic if you wish, instead of being 30 nationalistic states that believe in mumbo-jumbo.

oh and can the EU please do something constructive with their 'rapid reaction force' (it does sound nice on paper - but doea it exist?) and deliver aid to Zimbabwe for example? Maybe install a democratic regime whilst you're at it... Who do i vote for to ensure this would happen? EPP? van Orden for example? or do i have to emigrate to the czech rep and vote there?Don't get me wrong... I think the idea of an EU is the best thing since grated gruyere - I just want more say!

People who think that the UK can just leave the EU are quite naive... no party in power would ever support such a policy (history speaks for itself).Like it or not today around 75% of all member state legislation is made in Brussels. I suggest you all atart taking European elections seriously and make sure you are registered to vote... If you don't like the way the EU works, you might find that you'll have more success changing the way it operates by engaging directly with it...

People on here seem to blindly follow the EU. Are you all mentally ill or just asleep? The EU is on its way to becoming TOTALITARIAN! Britain, I can assure you, will be removing itself from the EU in the next few years. I hope other nations of Europe follow suit.
