The sword is terrible, avoid it at all costs! The throwing dagger is where it's at!

I have the arcade versions of the three Ghosts 'N Goblins/Makaimura games on Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 1 on PlayStation 2, and there definitely is a difference in difficulty between the original arcade version and the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive port.

YES, that is true.DaiMakaiMura / Ghouls 'n Ghosts is the easiest game in the series without a doubt
airraideagle (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
SGnG used to be the hardest, until Ultimate Ghosts 'n Goblins for PSP. UGnG is NOW *THE* hardest game in the GnG series.

mariokid, sorry, but, wrong and wrong.Sega Genesis (1989) was not the only console capable of doing GnG. the NEC SuperGrafx in Japan got a conversion 1 year later, in 1990.Also, it was SEGA that reprogrammed the Capcom arcade game for Genesis, with a great deal of graphical downgrades so that it could run on Genesis.with that said, it WAS an EXELLENT translation for the time, it PLAYED almost exactly like the arcade, and the MUSIC was AWESOME for Genesis. |
