Architects, Builders, Code Officials and Homeowners are all turning to SMART VENT automatic foundation flood vents to protect homes from the destruction that a hurricane, flood or other natural disaster can cause. SMART VENT is designed to provide both flood protection & air ventilation, and is the only ICC-certified vent to meet the requirements as set forth by FEMA and the NFIP for all homes or buildings located in a floodplain. Educate yourself, be safe, and save on flood insurance.

My point is they should have purchased flood insurance.I wonder how many will build back and still not get the proper insurance for WHEN this happens again? They will justify not getting it due to calling it the "100 year flood plain" which means nothing as it could flood again next year. Will you then expect others to bail you out as well?Start being responsible for your own actions and stop using excuses like "Nobody told me" etc. Bottom line here is it's YOUR Fault if you didn't have flood ins
