I would love to see and hear any footage of michael stipe singing with bono, i think their voices would compliment each other's so much,as well as michael with morissey or robert smith, for that matter.

I agree; Two different vocal types. Thom is more of a tenor; Stipe is a baritone. Because Thom has more of a trebly voice, it cuts through the mix. The frequencies of Stipe's voice don't as much, as they are closer to the frequencies of the intstruments.

Damn...I feel SO cheated. I used to run a summer business with a friend selling tapestries we'd bought in India. We worked all the major music festivals we could for 3 summers in a row, including the Tibetan Freedom Festival-but only Chicago fit our schedule. Rage Against The Machine and The Beastie Boys were great, but I would have taken these guys over them ANY day! I thought only Thom Yorke, not the whole band, was playing-and in Amsterdam, which was unworkable. Had no idea about Stipe...
