6. Sutherland, only nice singing, ending note a bit weak.
8. Sumi Jo, too much, uncontrolled, bad last note.
9. Too nervous and uncontrolled.
10. Dessay was technically in control, flowing, but a bit weak overrall.

7. Without a doubt, the performer , in my impression, who most balances technical facility, fluidity, power and interpretation is Mady Mesple.
1. Tetrazzini, beautiful, minimally uneven.
2. Amelita Galli-Curci, a bit hurried, weak ending note.
3. Lily Pons, record speed too fast? Little characterization.
4. Mado Robin, too agressive, uneven final note.
5. Callas, strong in interpretation, awkward covering, last note tight.

Callas is the best! She is the only one that gives dramatic depth to an other wise hollow role.
Soren001 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Dessay, Robin and Sumi Jo, in that order

LOVED IT! Thank you very much for posting. I had a constant smile on my face while listening to it. I won't give a ranking, but my favorites here are Sutherland and Mesple
