Really interesting. I've never seen Stokowski conduct before. It is, as mentioned before, very technically done. What is also interesting is that the strings do not bow in unison, as is the tradition. This was one of the hallmarks of Stokowski's performances: he allowed the string players to bow as they wished - resulting in the rich unbroken melodic lines - otherwise known as 'the Stokowski sound'.

lol more like 2:30 AM for me =PI'm 15 too, and classical music has become my life. people tell me it's kind of sad that i'm like this now, but I dont care! lol.I must say Debussy was a friggin GENIUS. absolutely adore this piece.

i am 15, and i have to say, music, especially when you are part of live music like this ( i am in both an orchestra and a rock band (yeah, living the dream(!))) and i completely agree with music being like a drug.like, yeah i got a test tomorrow but i want to stay up till one listening to bach sonatas |
