when he was on this tour, he was in the studio at my local radio station, and i had the opportunity to talk to him. He said he did play football, but he was always a musician at heart. he was originally a drummer, but his dad got tired of the noise, so he switched instruments hahaha. Thanks Mr. Satriani :)

The wonderful thing about Joe Satriani is, and this is what characterises a great guitarist in my opinion, is how he is able to transcend styles, and in a way, create his own style.
