McCartney cites pet sounds influence him. Pet sounds influenced Sgt Pepper, as did Pink Floyd's first two albums that were being recorded accross from them at Abbey Road. Though when Stawberry feild was released as a single -Brian Wilson was discouraged by how great that sounded -so there was mutual influence and appreciation.

Sgt Pepper was created from the influence of Pet Sounds wasn't it?... or was it other way round? Not sure lol... both bands influenced each other heavily though from the start... The Beach Boys were always creating new sounds to match what The Beatles were doing... which actaully turned out to influenced by Dylan by the time Rubber Soul started to emerge... and as the boys were going into the studio, Bob was coming out... I think! Anyway they both rule! The best 2 bands ever!
