anyone that says these names are fake is a complete dumb ass and clearly doesn't know SHIT about street fighter, period.

In the first Street Fighter Balrog was called Mike, so M. Bison equals to Mike Bison, lol

The name in japenese version are not the same as other version because :Bison is a joke, the boxer in street fighter looks like Mike TYSON so japanese called this character BISON.And they diceded to exchange name between the last characters on the US version to keep it as a secret. So in US version BISON's name change to Balrogbalrog's names change to vegaAnd vega's name change to Mr. Bison.I dont know if you will understand, my english is not really good.

Vega's original name was Balrog, but because of the name change, he was forced to take who is now known as M. Bison's name, Vega. That completed the name changes for the American version. Our Balrog was originally Bison, Our Vega was originally Balrog, and our M. Bison was originally Vega. Understand now?

OK.. for all the people saying fake names. They are not fake. Let's review. Back when the game was created, Capcom got in some trouble because the name of it's boxer, originally named M. Bison, closely resembled Mike Tyson, and the M. was thought to be an initial for Mike. So instead of risking lawsuit, they changed the American version of the game. Instead of M. Bison, he would now be known as Balrog. Now that wouldn't do, what about the rest of the bosses?

Man, this is the reason why people get confuse about the name every time I talk about street fighter. How can the original names are wrong? I played this version like 12 years ago before it even released in U.S. Balrog (U.S)---> Bison (Original), Vega (U.S) ---> Balrog (Original), M.Bison (U.S) ----> Vega.
