Yes, it was released when the war wasn't at all favored by the majority, but that doesn't mean it was written by people against the soldiers.Look at the writer, Robin Moore; a well-known patriot, he wouldn't have written an anti-war song, especially in a time when anti-war was associated with anti-soldier. On top of that, you've got a staff sergeant singing it.Also, it came out prior to the unpopularity of the Vietnam War. Just fyi.-\XZisle/-

We were far from being beat. As an englishman, we of course are grateful for USA's entry into the war. However it must be said of all the allies it was the British who first beat the seemingly unbeatable germans in north africa. The Germans could have never invaded Britain, The home fleet (which was about 45% of the royal navy at the time) was many times more powerful than the German navy. Thats why Hitler wanted air superiority, which thanks to the RAF, he never gained.

you can't say rangers>Green Berets> or whatever they all have specialties they do best. Delta force is mainly for hostage situations, I'm pretty sure rangers are more of elite infantry units and people like SEALs are deployed in much smaller numbers than rangers. Green Berets are mainly behind enemy lines and experts with all weapons. There for different purposes so you can't say one is better than the other. correct me if i'm wrong
