why are they so brave???
rhondamadgirl (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
These are indeed some of the bravest people ever. They deserve to be honored, respected, and recognized for what sacrifices they have made.

Who are you talking to? If it is directed at me, well that is okay. I am just like most people. I also just happen to know about some of these familes.I hope they do not see these very insensitive comments.

The previous entry was taken from an ABC News report.

The crew of Columbia represents an extraordinary variety of faith traditions: Kalpana Chawla - Hindu William McCool - Roman Catholic Ilan Ramon - Jewish Rick Husband - Charismatic Laurel Clark - Unitarian David Brown - Episcopalian Michael Anderson - Baptist

Rick Husband was very much a Christian and even taped bible readings to leave for his children, one for each night he would be away on the mission. You do not realize the hurt you are causing people that know these families. The ones that may not believe, well, I guess it wouldn't hurt their feelings anyway if the rest of us grieved and healed through our faith in God.

I know what you are saying. The same is commonly said of politicians and other people in power. I do just happen to know someone who knws the families of some of the astronauts from both Columbia and Challenger, and this would be very hurtful to those families that have to trust that God has his hand on their loved ones. I cannot be "neutral" by not referencing God. That would be, to me, denying Him. |
