I just read the book a couple of days ago, and apart from it expecting you to have a thorough knowledge of science and Spanish (both things I lack), I thought it was a really good book...The movie doesnt look too bad either, I might have to find the dvd tomorow...

Movies like this are true reasons are why good old fashioned prosthetic special effects are better than today's CGI.

A great movie for all the LSD lovers. :-)The SFX may be dated but that's good because with them this movie looks even more out there.Even Terry Gilliam's Fear and Loathing... look mainstream compared to this.
