its not called ripping off. its called influencing from someone you looked up to. but i do see where your coming from. if it wasn't for classical music it could be completely different. as well as the blues

Single version, radio edit. Something. It's on the complete works or whatever.

the song you are thinking of is ladies and gentlemen we are floating in space. It uses the same chord progression as pachabels canon but there is more to a song than just the chord progression, There are melodies and styles which also have to be taken in to account. it would be very hard to find a song that has a totally original chord progression.I have played with spiritualized and there is more to the guitars than you might think.

If there was no "ripping off" of others in music, there would be no Rap music, or Rock music. There would probably be no Western music at all.

Any idea on where I can get this version. I have the album, which is fucking amazing, but I want a clean version to play on my radio show!

I'd have to disagree. While there is little harmonic change and the melodic and rhythmic motifs do repeat quite often, the dense layers create a texture of shifting timbres and the rising and falling dynamics establish an hypnotic wave of sound which carry me away. I suppose it's a matter of aesthetics, really. I find most "western art music" boring because the academic elitists have rendered it sterile and impotent.

This version sounds so odd...much better on the album. Am I missing something here?
