my personal opinion they where both good bands i my self like alice in chains better but they where both bands that died befor there time and they both died in tragic ways and i thank it really sucks because you cant find good bands like them anymore all you here now is these lil boy bands that suck i hate emo scrmo shit that doesnt take talent or feeling and both of these bands alice in chains and nirvana both has talant and feeling in there music

why cant you all shut the fuck up huh?all you fucking do is compare nirvana with alice in chains. its fucking dumb. there both grunge bands and grunge bands were scarce enough as it is. so why not stop fucking whining about which band is better,and place both of them(which are great bands) against something else..like todays rock.or anything. its just annoying as hell.

Stop compare AiC and Nirvana..Alice in Chains is better..vocal>kurt..i like nirvana..but aic mutch better..my opinion :]

actually both bands formed in 87 and signed their deals at almost the same time ...i dont think either influenced eachother but both were very influential ...and both from seattle so i am sure they bumped into eachother in the club scene
