Just love Trane....!This is definitely my favourite rendition of So What. And my favourite moment on Trane's solo is on 2:58. Notice the trompone's player smile when he's playing these notes..... he's just genious..i'm going to start learning a tenor sax. i'll buy one in about 1 month:D

How can that be Keith Jarret? Jarret had to be about eight years old at the time! Wow man you have no idea of the dates and evolution of this music. Jarret startd playing with Davis in his early twenties in the early seventies...this is 1959!You have no clue what you're watching or who's playing!?

Genius...the incredible music, the shots of Miles, Trane watching in the wings...the whole nine. This is as good as it gets, with better solos that the original recording! Without Evans at the piano, the tempo, the whole take has a different color...cool and funky. How much do you love Chambers and Cobb!? Man Miles and his genius, picking the bands, the songs, the solos, there will never ever be another Miles Davis! With that killer Trane solo!! I just love this video...thank you for sharing it!

i've heard that he has been a victim of racism, so he started to be more angry with people

Pretty much. I tried to meet him in the 80's when he returned to playing. My CBS Records rep at the time said "You might want to meet him but he doesn't want to meet you". I've not heard of too many folks in the biz that had good experiences with him.

I grew up listening to old records of John Coltrane and Miles Davis... this brings back memories of my childhood. Thanks for putting this up.
