I agree with you! And I love Earmaster Pro too as well! However, I have tried to help create a product that can help musicians in a way they don't have to put much work into it. Hence the name Learn Perfect Pitch in your sleep. Thanks for your input though! :)

You can't 'learn' perfect pitch, it's a natural ability. Watch Derek Paravinci - The Musical Genius here on Youtube, and you'll understand. You could practice all your life, and maybe learn to recognize all the notes, but it is still different from the natural ability that we call perfect pitch. I also think it is more useful for a musician to learn to recognize intervals and chords instead of seperate notes. Look at EarMaster Pro 5, it's a great tool.

perfect pitch is not memorising notes, it's getting an ear for it's distinct quality. Once you discovered that quality in the tone you can in any instrument discover the note, you just say ah that's a C. It's like discovering how red is, then each time you see red somewhere you know it's quality.

Well, It seems to give me a better awarness of where I am right now and seems to make it easier to reach for notes when I play my sitar. I wish it worked faster but I guess the secret is not giving up. I am sure amazing progress could be made within a year! |
