El tango es fascinante, lo mismo su música, letra como los miles de intrincados pasos de su baile. Para los que sabemos español es una delicia el entender sus letras, algunas verdaderos poemas, inigualables. Este film me gusto mucho, el publico no fue muy caluroso en su recibimiento, pero creo que fue un acierto de Saura, el que sabe tan poco de música. El tango se ha hecho internacional, para mi siempre representa a Buenos Aires, bellísima capital de ese país al que amo, Argentina.

Cecelia Narova, the older woman, is probably one of the three best tango dancers in the world. She's played Radio City twice and been in several other reviews there. The kick she throws at about 1:45 would hit a seven-foot ceiling; very unusual, and unless it's quick as lightning, it looks waaayyyy out of place in tango.

I tried to do the low attitude turn of foot 2inches above ground, approx. 52 seconds into video. My butt hasn't screamed like this in years. Youch!!!

The looks that the women exchange are so subtle. Now I know what they mean when they say Tango is about suffering. It's not an aggressive dance form, like most people assume. It's far more controlled.This clip is absolutely beautiful, I'm meant to be studying this film for one of my papers soon and I can't wait till I see the rest!

This is by far one of THE best tango scenes out there. I must get myself into flamenco and tango...Nothing like it.
