Agreed - Simon didn't do all the auditions anyway. Carlos first saw someone else and said no deal. Then Simon asked him to come talk to him & he changed his mind. I believe I remember that correctly. David said they did the scouting like any other opera audition. Simon likes his people to look nice but I don't believe he chose them for looking like models. TALENT is the key. Their personalities do the rest! They bring nationalities together & that is what this world needs! We need to be friends.

Great interview,something new talked about.We here in the US think of them as a very British band.You should be thankful they are thought British as they have brought you much fame and more than a little foreign money

To comtecia, I say they are a British band because they say so, Simon says so, Sony BMG says so, and they headquarter there. They have tons of British fans, everything rolls out there, they spend more time touring there than any other country ... what else do you need? Oh, and just because Simon has been successful on American Idol does not mean that he has a stranglehold over the U.S. Far from it. I've read the book. Il Divo were chosen because of their vocal abilities first and foremost.

Well, I'd like to say well done to IL DIVO, it was an amazing performance, and I can only hope that our British BLAKE boys will one day be giving performances at equally wonderful events such as this - I for one am glad to see such brilliant classical groups alive and well!!!
