Also, while it's not immediately obvious, the tornado footage around 6:44 was sped-up, so the winds and the cars weren't actually moving as fast as they seem. Sorry to disappoint!

A large drop of rain hit the lens of the camera around 6:44 and while it caused the image of the car to become distorted, I can assure you that the car did not blow up and never left the ground.
