When I was growing up my parents would play their music while taking us for drives...I love how they play. This song and ghost riders in the sky are my fave!

Why does the drummer from the Who look like Mel Taylor? ps - Keith was a big Ventures fan

Arklowbank, if you check Peter Framption in Wikipedia, under the CAREER paragraph, it lists several "inspirations" in addition to Hank Marvin.

Arklowbank, very few major artist have been inspired by one artist and one alone. Just because Frampton is on record for being inspired by Hank Marvin doesn't mean he wasn't also inspired by someone else.

This was recorded in 1983, Peter had just recorded a tribute to Hank Marvin entitled "Theme From Nivram" (Marvin spelled backwards) The song is an instrumental very much like the Ventures style. Peter loves this type of guitar playing and does it quite well himself. Peter is an amazing guitarist.

Frampton must have been paid well for this as he is on record as being inspired by Hank Marvin. |
