utopiadaniele, in Italy "tango" is what is danced by Mirko/Alessia, Roberto/Morena, Michele/Monica, William/Alessandra, Domenico/Gioia. Don't talk about "rewarding" and "beautiful" in your dance. In your dance people only learn to hate other dances, so I cannot accept your invitation.

jlam168: Then I do not understand why so many Argentine Tango people, Salsa people, or the Authentic Rumba people, they have nothing better to do, hanging around the beautiful International Ballroom dancing videos and attacked,attacked. j: I seldom wasted my time to view other videos such as Argentine Tango, Salsa, Hustle, fundamental( the authentic) rumba,etc. I would rather spend my valuable time watching a Russian Ballet or an Italian Opera, or Beethoven,Mozart,or Brahms,etc. As for this particular Hilton Basic Tango, I must have viewed over 100 times,out of the 253,540 viewers that you mentioned! I checked out also the others. I definitely do not like these interpretations and this Standard Style.I think "mine", that is Tango which is usually referred to when people talk about this Latin dance, is a different thing. It is my opinion, that you are really missing something -and here I am not speaking of steps or posture- something very rewarding and BEAUTIFUL...If you have time, look out for Tango too. Maybe you can feel some emotion, some freedom, some other thing that you may like.

Take it easy guys, no need to flame!I too love argentine tango and, personally, dislike this one (as I dislike the "tango nuevo").I think we all agree that these ones are two dinstinct dances, but I can find no reasons at all to blame each other.I'm deeply in love with argentinian tango, but,if someone else prefer other ones, why hating them?Each one has good reasons to prefer one to the other, but it's a matter of personal choice.Just take it easy, and enjoy dancing.The one or the other.
