I agree with u that sexuality shouldn't be as played up as it is, BUT I don't think Beyonce is a good example. I mean she's been in the game for a long time and I don't think she'd have as many fans if they were only interested in how she looks. Rihanna is a better example, cuz while she's gorgeous, she can't sing a lick and she's a superstar...

And nowadays women vocalists sell more off their sex-appeal more than their voice. Who likes Beyonce because of that vocal range ? NOBODY !!Take Alicia Keys for instance. She's got amazing, AMAZING talent but doesn't get accredited all she's deserved because she keeps her clothes on.
