So ture, only been in EMS for 5 years and I know that already. And people always say oh well its just one guy in one department, BS Our coverage area at home had multiple municipal departments all with asshole cops. Now im in paramedic school and they are all the same way. State Troopers dont give a shit about you or any other FF/Medic on the scene, they only care about getting the highway open. And the city cops, dont get me started.

Shoot, the lady isn't lying. Cops are jerks! I'm an EMT and one cop tried to give my paramedic partner a ticket. The cop said to him "you think just because you're a paramedic you think you can speed?" My friend retaliated and said "well just because you're a cop doesn't mean that you can speed whenever your ass wants to go to McDonalds" I was crying in laughter so much I couldn't get a word in. He ended up getting the ticket anyway.

I was a paramedic for several years. I like cops less now than before I was medic. They are sanctimonious bullies. Don't bother with the "but who would you call if you were in trouble" argument. I have been in trouble more than once, needed a cop, and never had one around when shit really hit the fan.
