"Doubtful pleasures". Funny. Like most things this mostly crappy "culture" offers us. Death is silently offered and then condemned as suicide. Thanks heavens for Henry Miller, Anais Nin and Marlon Brando.

I believe it's some sort of fantasy book for those "tweens" who have just outgrown "Harry Potter' and are not quite decadent enough yet for the doubtful pleasures of the Ann Rice vampire novels
towelboy12 (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
it was banned because of the infamous "butter" scene.

I'm 16 and a Twilight fan and yes, I did look this movie up because of the MTV interview where Kristen Stewart mentioned that Robert Pattinson and herself bonded over this movie. It doesn't matter if you are young or if you like Twilight. Good films are good films and it doesn't matter how you come across them. From what I've seen of this movie I find it brilliant. Marlon Brando is fantastic in this role and I respect this movie for what it is. Just because I love Twilight doesn't mean squat. |
