I grew up without a dad, and never knew what it was like...and I grew up pretending it didn't matter. I watched my mum get hurt over and over again by the men she chose in her life. And I tried so hard to show her that I was okay and she was all i needed, but this song was what kept us together and broke us apart.I heard it on the radio the other day and started crying, I was at work and everyone looked at me funny but I didn't care. I love this song...

When I was a truck driver for Sara Lee I had a friend that was the father of Twin Girls. I had daughters that were 2 and 4 at the time as well. One evening I was in the warehouse and he had that song playing. I kidded him not to cry while listening to that, lol, immediately he choked up and so did I... this song'll even cause ole tough truck drivers to cry :)

this is one of the songs that to EVERY dad that when it comes to there little girls wedding it is hard on him cuz he is thinkin "man how did u grow up 2 fast". On my wedding night (if i get married) this is my father/ daughter dance, i know that i will break down crying...I PROMISE DAD I WILL ALWAYS BE UR LITTLE GIRL
