I love this song. Childhood memories. I love the band. I saw Depeche Mode a few years ago when they were promoting Exciter and of course they sang this song. I love Dave Gahan's voice.

This whole song is based upon a personal jesus... Someone you feel a direct connection with. Ala when you pray, etc. A divine intervention or being that our human minds cannot comprehend.. It is all about the personal connection to faith. Be it Christianity, Muslim, Judaism,etc. This song is touching upon all beliefs of "faith" a higher power... Remember... Geography is destiny. Faith is a personal feeling. |
