VINTAGE SOUKOUS! Malage de Lugendo's most famous song, performed in Newark with Soukous Stars, February 4th, 2006. Malage has an amazing vocal range -- it's demonstrated at the tail end of the song when he is singing in a high register, and then reverts to his usual voice to say "thank you" to the crowd...what a voice... (sorry about the jump in the middle -- videotape cassette change caused me to miss about 10-seconds of Shiko's solo guitar...shucks...)

This song reminds me of many friends I have lost. I am comforted whenever I listen to it. RIP till we meet again.

This is Malage Lugendo, as the title says; he, not Carlyto Lassa, sung the original song.
