Tongue in cheek? lol! Well, yes it WAS because it was FULL of green vegetation...but all that snow came later! Now people are finding tools and farming equipment that the vikings abandoned when they had to move on to warmer climes! Those tools were buried in hard-pack snow...

I know I knowIts because the vikings come from a cold place and the minute they saw greenlad they saw green vegetation so they called it greenland but actually it should be called whiteland instead because of its snow.

The way so called scientific institutions, media and government have tried to close out scientific debate over this issue and use only scare tactics and bullying to gain popular support is the real crisis we are facing. Meanwhile it gets colder and colder, not just locally as some would have you believe but globally.

I agree with you sonofhendrix, we need CARBON CREDITS- people are a danger to the planet and need to be controlled. THE world population needs to be reduced to save the earth- the only things stopping us succeeding in these goals are out-moded things like democracy, liberty and open-debate. The sooner everyone gets in line the sooner our loving and benevolent leaders can start finding ways to trim our numbers!

Look up sunspots.We just started cycle 24 which has started later than usual; this has cooincided with a decrease in global temp. We are now back to the average temp recorded in the 1930's. The Earth's temp goes down with sunspot activity and up with sunspot activity.Where's Al Gore with this? |
