This song wasn't all about having sex. Supposedly VH1 interviewed the lyricist and he said it was written from his girlfriend at the time's perspective. He was always away, touring, or doing one thing or another and he wasn't around much. The girl felt neglected and that his 'love' for her was all talk. I admittedly have not seen the interview myself.
