Some times, I wonder what an outsider to earth would have to say about our species. I wonder if they would perceive us as warlike, maybe as audacious, perhaps even arrogant and primitive. Would they see our peaceful side, our humbleness, or even our moments of sacrifice? Or whould they see all of these things and call us paradoxical? It is my greatest hope that in my life time, we can settle another planet. This is highly unlikely, but hope has never taken the path of least resistance.

due to the size of the universe as we know it, there has to be life elsewhere, but i think it is unlikely that other life is as sophisticated and developed as our species. We are lucky because we have had no problems to pause our evolution and we have had time to evolve in relative peace. Our climate and the size of our planet is something we should be grateful for.

It is quite interesting that we have proof of artificial selection exist. We visit our grocery stores and see the produce of artificial selection, where the produce are very different from the original wild variety. However, there are people who can not accept natural selection a process that is more integrated that artificial selection.
